    I heard that you can charge souvenirs to your room. Can you pay any charges billed to your room with cash or does it automatically come out of a credit card?  I just want to know whether to bring cash or leave it in the bank.

    Traveler’s checks, debit cards (MC/Visa) and cash can also be applied to your Room Account. This is an option if you would like the charging privileges but do not wish to pay via credit. You will apply to your account the amount that you'd like to have available for spending.

    Personally, I prefer the security of using a credit card but I've also used traveler's checks since they are much more secure than cash. I have been with family members that prefer cash and they were never required to use a credit card. Walt Disney World really makes paying your bill and charging to your room effortless (maybe too easy, in fact). Anyhow, do what works best for your family.

    Charging privileges allow you to purchase items (including meals) in Walt Disney World and have them put on your Room Account. How you settle the bill on your Room Account is up to you.

    You can ask for a statement of your charges at any time during your stay. Otherwise you’ll get the bill folio early on the morning of your departure. It will be hanging outside your door. If you agree with the charges and have left a credit card on file, you can use Express Check Out. If you have cash left on your account that you didn’t spend (good willpower), you can get a refund before departing. If there are charges that you dispute, just go to the Front Desk.

    Please note that you’ll be given a maximum charging limit which is dependent on your resort. Deluxe hotels have a $1500 limit, for example. Once that limit is reached, your credit card will be billed and if desired, then you can continue spending again up to the maximum. Or you can settle by the other means mentioned and add more to your account, if needed.

    Your resort can remove the charging privileges (Sh! Don't tell our husbands) from any of your party’s resort keys, although children's keys are typically not able to charge anyhow.
