I heard castaway cay has been updated. I was there last in 2007. Can you tell me what has changed? Thanks

    Hi Sherrie!

Castaway Cay is wonderful.  I wish I could just spend a week there!

The Disney Dream and Fantasy are much larger than the Magic and Wonder.  To accommodate more guests, Disney improved Castaway Cay.  Improvements include a 700 foot expansion of the family beach area, the addition of luxurious private cabanas, a fun new waterslide platform out in the water, and new shops and dining.

The new waterslide platform is particularly fun for families.  The 2,400 square foot, swim-out platform is equipped with water cannons and two waterslides.  The twisting covered corkscrew slide if the fast one, but the 140 foot long open slide is also sporty!

There's also a new water play area for younger guests called Spring-A-Leak.  It has various sprays and drips.

The new cabanas are wonderful.  They have an indoor living room area with cushy seating, a fresh water shower, a refrigerator, and a shaded deck with lounge chairs.  There are snacks and towels and you can call a "host" for drink and food service.

Basically Disney made a wonderful island even more wonderful with these additions!  Write back if you have any more questions!
