I have heard that if you carry a bag or backpack into the parks there is a bag check area which takes longer to get through. Is this true? If yes how small does a bag have to be to avoid the bag check? I will want something to carry camera & etc. in.

Hello and welcome to the Moms Panel!

Quite often my family and I travel during Walt Disney World's peak time.  Even during the crowded times, it approximately take between 3 to 5 minutes to get through the bag-check lines.  It is not a hassle at all.  If you have any bag of any size with you, you will need to go through bag-check.  This is for the safety of all our WDW guests.  Walt Disney World really wants their guests to begin their MAGICAL vacation the moment they arrive.  They have many Cast Members working the bag-check lines to accommodate our guests.
