We have heard that the card used to make the dinning reservation has to have the same last name as the person eating. Is this correct? We've made a dinning reservation with one credit card. Can we use a different card when we pay?

Hey there, James! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with your vacation planning question.

Eeeeek! In just days, you'll be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth, ready to begin your magical adventure. How exciting! With the 50th Anniversary Celebration in full swing and the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival in full bloom, you couldn't be visiting Walt Disney World Resort at a better time. Let's be honest - half of the fun of the Festival and a Disney vacation, in general, is the FOOD. So, let's chat about my favorite topic - dining.

I think you will be happy to hear that the credit card used as a place holder to reserve your dining reservation does not have to have the same last name as the diners. In fact, I have made a dining reservation on My Disney Experience, linked to my credit card, for our best Disney friends to have a practically perfect Disney date night. After you've enjoyed your incredible dining experience, you can absolutely use a different credit card other than the place holder card to pay for your meal. In fact, those same best Disney friends treated us to an amazing meal at Biergarten Restaurant in EPCOT that I had booked using my credit card. Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries," James!

Did you hear that the very first episode of the planDisney Podcast dropped?! In this episode, my planDisney pals and I chat about all things Spring Break in the Disney Parks and Resorts, and I hope that you find the tips and tricks really helpful on your springtime getaway. I'll link the episode below so that you can watch or listen at your leisure.

James, I hope this was helpful, and I hope you have the most magical spring vacation, full of food, fun and pixie dust! Please stop by any time with any vacation planning questions you may have. You've got a friend in me!

I hope to see ya real soon,

    Mandy
