I have heard building # 5 as Port Orleans FQ is the best one to be in, is this true? If so should we call now to request, we are going the end of april.

Building 5 at Port Orleans French Quarter (POFQ) is the closest to the Doubloon Lagoon Pool, Sassagoula River, hot tub and the food court. This building has no parking lot views. It does offer pool and water view rooms however they are more expensive. Standard view rooms in this building would be a good option.

POFQ is a quaint resort and the walk from even the furthest buildings (#7 and #1) are pleasant. Since the resort has exterior corridors, you may not feel it necessary to upgrade to a water view.

We have found Building 2 to be very close to the pool (even in a standard view room). This was also convenient for us when walking from our building to our parked car.

Building 4 is closest to the Bus Stop but does have some parking lot views, however most are blocked with nice trees.

Building 7 was convenient when enjoying the walk to Riverside, to our parked car and is a very quiet location.

Ultimately, it depends on your family’s needs. Do you have a car or will you be using the bus? How much time will you spend swimming? Are you eating most of your meals at the hotel or while out at the theme parks? Remember that this resort is compact and strolling the “streets” is part of its charm. We’ve always seen lots of bunnies cross our path too.

Make your building request when you reserve your room or call and have it noted on your reservation. Just remember that room location is not guaranteed.
