We have heard there is a barbecue pavilion at Kidani Village, where we will be staying. Is it possible to reserve the grills and tables needed for a few hours, or is it a first-come, first-served basis?

Hi Carol, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

A stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village is always a treat. From the moment you step into the exotic lobby you are transported into an African savanna lodge with dark woods, painted tapestries and art, and African music.  But what really makes a visit to Kidani Village special is being able to watch exotic animals roaming throughout the vast savannas surrounding the Resort. There is simply nothing like it!

As with all Disney Vacation Club Resorts, you will enjoy many “home away from home” amenities at Kidani Village, including an outdoor grill area where guests are welcome to cook and eat food. The Barbeque Pavilion at Kidani Village is located adjacent to the sports courts and contains several charcoal barbeque grills as well as an adjacent covered eating area with picnic tables perfect for Al fresco dining.

There is no need to make reservations as all grills and tables are available to guests on a first-come, first-served basis. In my experience, there is seldom a problem with availability. Be sure to pick up some charcoal in advance of your cook-out. You should also be able to obtain complimentary cooking utensils and grilling tools for use during your stay at the Kidani Village Community Hall.

I hope you have a wonderful upcoming vacation at Kidani Village. Should you have any further questions in advance of your trip, please be sure to send them our way. We would be happy to hEAR from you!

    Jambo!
