Hi Deborah - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by with your question about
Annual Passes - we're glad you're here! What an amazing gift to give - and to receive!
Florida residents can purchase
Florida Resident Theme Park tickets or Annual Passes for themselves and for other adult Florida residents. Guests over the age of 18 must provide
Proof of Florida Residency to use tickets or Annual Passes EARmarked for those living in Mickey's backyard, so adults who reside out of state would not be eligible to use a Florida Resident Annual Pass.
Annual Pass sales are currently paused, but when they resume, I'd recommend gifting a
Disney Gift Card in the amount of an Annual Pass rather than gifting a pass itself. This allows the gift receiver to purchase their own pass whenever they are ready to use it, thus extending that one-year clock a bit! They may also want to choose what their physical Annual Passholder card looks like if there are different options available - I just got my new card with the 50th Anniversary Golden Mickey statue! You may still be able to
purchase an Annual Pass as a gift, but these policies may change when sales are resumed.
I hope this information helps -
please let me know if other questions arise that we can help with!
