I hear that scoring the "experience" meals can be tricky. Any favorites for your family that may be under the radar? AKA I can still get a reservation for a June trip? TIA!

    Hi Rebecca!
Since the addition of the Dining Plan reservations to most restaurants must be secured 180 days in advance, but here are some tips if you can't secure a reservation to your favorite meal.
If you are looking for a princess experience, Cinderella Royal Table is the pinnacle of all princess meals.  This reservation is one of the most coveted so I suggest dining at 1900 Park Fare as an alternative, dinner includes Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drusilla.
For some one on one time with Mickey and the gang, Chef Mickey's is usually a first choice.  If securing a reservation isn't possible, one to try is The Garden Grill in Epcot.  This restaurant is located in The Land Pavilion at Epcot and actually rotates during your dining.
Some restaurants don't feature characters, but are themed well and lots of fun at meal time. Prime Time 50's and Whispering Canyon Cafe' are some of our favorites because the interaction with the cast members.  At Prime Time 50's you will be seated among kitchens that resemble  Donna Reeds, while your "mom" reminds you elbows off the table.  Whispering Canyon Cafe' features some surly cast members, but it's all in good in fun so bring an appetite and a sense of humor!
If there is any dining experience that you have your heart set on, don't give up yet!  Many guests will book a reservation , but as their vacation approaches will cancel.  In fact many reservations are cancelled at the 24 hour mark, so be sure to keep checking. Another tip is to eat at unpopular times, this will also help with touring the parks.  It is always better to go against the crowd than to be apart of them!  Thanks for visiting us at Disney Parks Moms Panel, please let us know if you have anymore questions!
    Best Wishes!
