I hear Pooh corner is going to be closed temporarily but would we still be able to see Winnie the Pooh ? To take pictures ?

Welcome, Marlina! I'm so pleased you dropped by planDisney with your question, and I will be honored to help get you some answers as you consider your next visit to Disneyland Resort.

Oh Bother! Indeed, I do see that Pooh's Corner and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh are scheduled to be closed for a planned refurbishment beginning May 1. In fact, most areas of Critter Country are expected to be closed around that time, which makes me wonder if this is an important renovation window for the forthcoming Tiana's Bayou Adventure, set to debut later in 2024! Unfortunately, it isn't clear if 'Pooh's Thotful Spot' will be open during that same time, which is where you would traditionally find Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, and other friends from the Hundred Acre Wood for character greetings. If you'd like to see the planned refurbishment schedule, you can locate it on the Hours & Events Calendar.

Nevertheless, I have an idea for you, Marlina! If you haven't already considered it, you may wish to view dining availability for the character breakfast, Minnie & Friends - Breakfast in the Park, at the Plaza Inn. In my recent experience, my kids were able to bounce along with Tigger and give a hug to that silly old bear, Pooh himself! Character appearances are subject to change, but we've always had great luck there. I would also recommend using the Disneyland mobile app and toggling on the map feature to "Characters," where you'll see the scheduled appearances for the day. Sometimes, you'll notice characters are roaming, which is a lovely surprise if happen to catch them wandering in an unexpected part of the theme park. It's a little bit of pixie dust to make your day extra special!

I hope this is helpful to you, Marlina, and that your next visit to Disneyland Resort is as sweet as a small smackerel of honey! If we can help with anything else, please don't hesitate to come back to planDisney with any questions.
