I hear there are new refillable mugs coming out! Can I still bring my old ones and use them?

    Hi Kim!

Yes, you can bring a old refillable mug to use as long as it is a Disney Rapid Fill RFID mug from a previous trip and as long as the RFID chip is still working--make sure that the mug hasn't been heated in a microwave or dishwasher which would destroy the RFID chip.  I just asked if these mugs can be reloaded on my most recent trip to Walt Disney World at the beginning of January of 2014 and the answer was "yes" (you could add one or two days at $3.00 a day). Keep in mind that I was only given the option of adding one or two days to my existing Rapid Fill Mug which wasn't enough for me as I was staying for 6 days on that particular trip. The current Rapid FIll Mug prices which includes the purchase of a new Disney Rapid Fill Mug as I am answering your question are: 1 day-$8.99, 2 days-$11.99, 3 days-$14.99, or length of stay-$17.99. If you bring an old style refillable mug that does not have the RFID chip then it will not work in the new Disney Rapid Fill system at all.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!
