Is there a health care worker discount?

Hello Michael, thank you for taking the time to stop by planDisney. I’m honored to be helping a fellow healthcare worker!

This pandemic really has forced us healthcare workers into unchartered territories in our professional life. I know this may sound silly, but when work gets tough, I find solace by planning quick getaways or longer vacations for my family. And of course, there’s something extra special about Disney vacations so I can absolutely understand your desire in planning a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth!

Unfortunately, there is not a healthcare worker discounts directly through Walt Disney World Resort. However, Michael, as I was planning an upcoming trip, I was able to find discounts for nurses at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. In fact, listed in their “Special Offers” section, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort has a “Nurses, Doctors, Firefighters, Paramedics, Medical Personnel Appreciation Rate”. You can book online using the promotional code or call them directly. Be sure to bring your work identification card to show proof of employment as a healthcare worker when you check-in.

Michael, may I suggest you also check with your employer to see if they offer any discounts for Disney vacations. I work as an RN for a large university health system and my employer offers discounts at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. It’s definitely worth asking and checking out!

I hope this helps, Michael, and thank you for the important work that you do! As you continue planning your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, please swing by planDisney again with more questions. We are all EARS and ready to help.

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
