Hey, howdy, hey, Melinda!
Thanks for visiting us at planDisney to help get ready for your visit to The Happiest Place on Earth! I hope you are prepared for a
rootin', tootin' time!
The Disneyland Resort offers various
services for Guests with disabilities. For many of the available accommodations, you may speak with a Cast Member at one of the several
Guest Relations locations. Guests with
hearing disabilities or
visual disabilities may request to use assistive listening systems that can help amplify sounds through headphones or provide descriptions of visual elements of
select attractions and experiences. Guests who may have sensitivities to loud sounds or noises may bring their own specialized equipment from home such as ear plugs, protective earmuffs, and or noise-canceling headphones. These items are permitted for use on most attractions.
Tony’s Tip: Use the map filter feature in the
Disneyland mobile app to display information about attractions and experiences that have special accommodations or limitations related to different disabilities that Guests may have. For example, one available filter is for “Assistive Listening.” Applying that filter will update the map to display only attractions or entertainment that support assistive listening technology. Be sure to reset the filter when you wish to view all of the attractions and entertainment again. I often forget when I have a filter set. So I’m left wondering why so few attractions are showing on the map sometimes! Note that the description pages for attractions and entertainment usually have a section labeled “Accessibility & Other Information” that can be expanded to reveal services and accommodations available for that experience.
I hope you have a magical time, Melinda!
