Hi Chloe!
Welcome to planDisney.
Disney's Wilderness Lodge is the prettiest of all the Disney Resort hotels at any time of year, but once that beautiful tree goes up, it surpasses everywhere else, in my opinion! While Disney never discloses the dates of when the Disney Resort hotels will be decorated, I would guess that you will see the tree sometime during your visit. I am staying here right now, and will probably have left by the time the tree goes up, and I'm so sorry to miss it!
I know for sure that the infamous Gingerbread House is already built in the lobby of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. I popped over there the other day and I can tell you it's simply stunning! You can also purchase shingles of gingerbread (the same as they use on the roof of the house) - the gorgeous aroma hits you as you walk in! (I took a boat to Magic Kingdom Park, and then simply transferred to another boat to Disney's Grand Floridian - it's an easy ride, and a great excuse to explore the resort hotel as well).
The theme parks are decorated too - Magic Kingdom is at its most magical this time of year.
If you are heading over to Disney Springs, the
Christmas Tree Stroll is up and running - I saw it yesterday! There are 21 themed trees across the whole of Disney Springs - you can complete a map as you go around, and when you've finished you can collect a special surprise. You can also join a Virtual Queue to meet Santa, and if you are staying later there is nightly snowfall at Town Center. So much to enjoy!
I hope you see the tree at Disney's Wilderness Lodge - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions - we will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation at Walt Disney World. It's just around the corner!
