Hi. Heading to Ft Wilderness Cabins the first week of June. Has anyone seen the new pool design at the main pool? The kids have been asking about a waterslide at the pool, but I don't know what they did with the redesign. Thanks!!

    Stephanie:

When our family was at Fort Wilderness in March the pool was in its final stages, but that didn't keep me from scouting it out!  (I have since seen completed pictures of it on the camping thread at www.disboards.com)

The zig-zag slide is anchored by a large water tower that serves as one of the logo mascots for the fort and sports the western pioneer theme.  A new addition, the kiddie water play area, is almost completed and looks similar to the popular free-standing water station at Caribbean Beach Resort.  But my favorite addition to the main pool area: a new hot tub which I can't wait to try when I go again in October!

June will be perfect weather for the pool, and I wish y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
