We are heading to WDW (Wilderness Lodge) in July for 5 nights & will be going to all 4 parks (no hoppers). Can not decided if I should add a 6 night - just to have a day to relax. Have 5 & 7 yr old and this is our second time as a family. Thou

    Hi Allison,

Firstly, thank you for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're happy to shed a little pixie dust on your travel plans. I'm not sure any of us here on the Panel would convince you otherwise... I'm certain we would all live at Cinderella Castle if we could! It really will come down to a financial decision, as only you will know if the extra night will fall within your travel budget.

Building in down time, especially at a resort hotel like Disney's Wilderness Lodge, becomes essential for our family. No matter how many days we planned to visit, I do like to designate a "Resort Day or Half Day," to simply relax at the pool, take in the scheduled themed activities or book some recreation. Even if your budget does not allow for the 6th night, you could still potentially visit all 4 Theme Parks AND have some "relax" time if you think your family would benefit. Send me your travel dates, including your arrival and departure times and I'll see if I can arrange an itinerary that allows for visits to all Theme Parks and that coveted down time we all hope fits into our Walt Disney World vacation. I'm always striving to find the perfect balance of non-stop fun and quality family time, or "Disney Time." Good luck with your decision, Allison, and please let me know how we can be of further assistance as you plan your Walt Disney World vacation.

    Happy planning.
