We are heading to WDW over the week of July 4th. Which park will be the best park for my traveling party of 6 (3 adults, 3 children) to enjoy the independance dayfestivities?

    Hi there, Molly!

Every Park at Walt Disney World will be having its own red, white, and blue celebration for the Fourth of July.

In 2011,  according to the Disney Parks Blog, Illuminations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot was "enhanced with 'The Heartbeat of Freedom,' an overture of traditional Americana themes displayed in a pyrotechnic and laser light event." Additionally, the Voices of Liberty performed special concerts throughout the day, and were joined by Betsy Ross, Benjamin Franklin, and Disney characters, all in patriotic gear.

At the Magic Kingdom, fireworks were also a highlight. Instead of Wishes!, Guests were treated to "Disney's Celerbate America: A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky." In fact, these fireworks were actually also shot off on July 3 to accommodate as many Guests as possible.

Disney's Hollywood Studios offered Guests a Rockin' Fourth of July Celebration featuring fan favorites Mulch, Sweat, and Shears soundtracking a fireworks show, and two performances of Fantasmic!

To maintain the comfort and safety of the animals, Disney's Animal Kingdom did not offer any fireworks or pyrotechnics.

So while I can't make the decision for you, I hope I've made it harder for you to make the decision! ;) With so many incredible offerings at each Park, you'll have to see which one suits your traveling party the best. Ad do remember that a Park Hopper pass will allow you the freedom to move between multiple Parks on a single day.

As more details about July 4, 2012 are made available, they will be published in the Disney Parks Blog; that's your best bet for up to the minute news and information.

    Have a great trip!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
