We are heading to WDW 9/25-9/30/2011. What is the weather (i.e. humidity) usually like? We are from Wisconsin so we are used to a little heat and humidity, but we are trying to prepare ourselves. Thanks, love the panel!!

Hi Quinn!   Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!

No matter what time of year you go, Florida weather can always be a little unpredictable, so remember that the information provided here may not apply at all!

However, from traveling to Florida in September many times over the years, I can offer you my own observations based on our experiences.

Septembers are usually very warm in Florida, and it can even still be one of the hottest months of the year, where temps have been known to range into the 90s.  However, the evenings do tend to cool off quite a bit, even down into the 60s.  So, I usually take a light cardigan or jacket with me if I am going to be out late in the evenings.

And, September is one of the "hurricane" months, which means you will want to be prepared for some rainy weather, and the humidity is generally pretty high.  So, take the ponchos and be ready for the afternoon/evening showers!  The good news is that they usually only last for a short time, and then clear up quickly, leaving behind a much cooler evening.

I hope this is helpful as you plan for the weather on your vacation to Walt Disney World.  Have a wonderful time!
