Hi Lee,
Welcome to planDisney! Your question is right up my alley because my family is gearing up for an identical adventure later this year. I can already tell you’re in for an unforgettable vacation! Staying at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is the perfect way to begin your journey. The resort’s elegance, charming Victorian ambiance, and proximity to Magic Kingdom make it a dream destination. My family loves the convenience of the walking path to Magic Kingdom, and there’s nothing quite like winding down in the evening while watching
Happily Ever After from the resort’s gorgeous grounds. You are going to have a blast!
Unfortunately,
Bell Services at Disney Resorts Collection hotels, including the Grand Floridian, cannot store luggage for Guests while they embark on a Disney Cruise. But Hakuna Matata, Lee, since you’ve booked transfers to and from the resort, you’ll have minimal interaction with your bags as Disney’s team gets them to the ship and back to the resort. Your stateroom aboard the Disney Cruise Line ship offers plenty of storage, including space under the bed for larger suitcases.
If you’re looking for ways to elevate your pre-cruise stay, I highly recommend stopping by
Enchanted Rose for a handcrafted cocktail in an elegant Beauty and the Beast setting. For a truly magical evening, stroll over to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, grab a DOLE Whip from
Pineapple Lanai, and watch the fireworks from the beach—an experience you won’t want to miss!
If you have any additional questions about your Disney Cruise, my fellow planDisney panelist,
JoVonn G., is an expert in all things Disney Cruise Line and would be happy to assist.
Wishing you a magical land and sea adventure!
