    Hi Mom's. Will be heading to WDW in Nov. The week after Turkey Day. bringing Mother in Law.to celebrate her beating Cancer. Wanting to stay at Mod. resort. Suggestions?! Looking for nice XMAS decorations.DML Fav holiday. thanks

    Hi Roger!

    Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

    My personal favorite Disney Moderate Resort is Port Orleans Riverside.  I love the theming of the resort, especially the Alligator Bayou section of the resort.  I also love the boat service it has to Downtown Disney.  It is a fun and relaxing way to travel there, especially at night.

    With the exception of Port Orleans French Quarter, which is smaller than Port Orleans Riverside, I think the other Disney Moderate Resorts are too large and too spread out unless you have a car to get around.  They are nice resorts and have a lot of fans, but they are just a little too large in my opinion.

    With regards to Christmas decorations, all of the resorts are decorated for the holidays, but the most and best decorations are at the Disney Deluxe Resorts.  The best are the Grand Floridian, the Wilderness Lodge, and the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
