We are heading to WDW next Feb. I was wondering, timing-wise, if it is possible to attend Ft Wilderness' Mickey BBQ and still attend the Chip and Dale movie at Ft Wilderness the same night? Are they located close enough together? Thanks!

    Hi Lori!

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is a great place to stay and visit during any Walt Disney World vacation trip. There is so much to see and do just in this one place and getting around is easy.

MIckey's Backyard Barbecue is one of the special dining events in the Fort. This is generally offered several days of the week around 5:30pm and time s can change. During colder months they do not offer this event due to the fact that it is held outside.

Chip 'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long is also held in the center of this resort around dusk each evening. It is about a 15-20 minute walk from where the barbecue is held but there are sidewalks along the whole way. Generally this special event begins around 8pm in the spring and summer months and 7pm during the fall and winter months. The time will vary to coordinate with the sunset times. Obviously a campfire in the daylight is not as magical as it is during the darker evenings.

The first thing you will want to do is to check to see if the Barbecue will even be offered during February. Since this is a winter month you will be guaranteed of an earlier campfire time making it very hard to do both in one evening. It might be wise to plan just one activity that evening in Fort Wilderness.
