Heading to WDW in May. Debating on deluxe plan. We like a sit down breakfast so we've made reservations for 2 days in kona, chef Mickey,Disney Jr. Playndine, ohana & crystal palace. Is deluxe plan worth it? Is there a list of eligible snacks w/plan

    Hi Sheryl,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

I’ll be honest, I rarely recommend the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan to Guests because it’s way too much food for my family… and we love to eat! That being said, if you prefer eating breakfast at a Table-Service location and you plan to eat at a second table service restaurant for dinner, then the Deluxe Plan may be the way to go for your family.

What I would recommend would be to price out how much you would spend “out of pocket” (i.e. without any Disney Dining Plan) or if you only pay “out of pocket” for your breakfasts. I think you might find that the Deluxe Dining Plan isn’t worth it for your family, simply because breakfast is the least expensive meal of the day at most Walt Disney World Resort restaurants.

As for eligible snacks, look for the Disney Dining Plan logo on the menu boards at Quick-Service restaurants, most outdoor food carts and even select merchandise locations to identify what items are eligible snacks. If you’re visiting in the Spring, don’t forget that several of the Outdoor Kitchens at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival may qualify as snacks on the Disney Dining Plan!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
