Heading to WDW from March 5-12 2023. For this trip we will not be staying on property. I purchased a 5 day pass and already have magic bands linked up to my Disney Wxperience account. Will the new tickets automatically link up to my existing bands?

    Hello Amy Lee!

Welcome back again to planDisney! We haven't seen you in a while and I'm excited you are back for help on your upcoming vacation! I'm sure you are eager to be back and ready to see all that's new at Walt Disney World Resort!

It looks like you are well prepared and set up if you have already linked your Disney Bands (or as we call them in the US- MagicBands) to your My Disney Experience account. The next step is to assign the tickets you purchased to the guests in your Party through their My Disney Experience Account or the managed profiles that you created for them. Once you assign tickets to the people in your Party then any Disney Bands that are active in their account will carry that information in it. All guests would have to do is "tap" into the Parks to enter and it should work just fine. I stayed offsite a few months ago and had no issue with having the tickets linked to my account. I have to stipulate that if you purchased them directly through Walt Disney World Resort it should be fine and ready to be linked to your Party. However, if you purchased your tickets from another vendor you can link them here and then assign them to the people in your Party.

I don't know if you are into thrills but Walt Disney World has all kinds that will surely bring a whole lot of fun your way. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is my favorite ride ever and while my son regrets ever going on it I find that most people enjoy it so much. It becomes a challenge to try and experience it with different songs and I hope you get a chance to experience it. My favorite song is still "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears. It just sets a dreamy vibe when spinning and saving the universe.

I hope this was helpful and let me know if you have any more questions! I'm glad to help!

    Happy Planning!

Meet the Panelist: Nimmy, New York

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
