Heading to WDW 9/19-9/26! I know with the free dining promotion that restaurants are liable to be pretty full. Will the parks be really crowded, too? Would we be better off rebooking for January instead to avoid the crowds?

    Hi Amy,

September is a great time to go to Disney World!  Although the free dining plan will bring in many guests, the crowd levels at the parks should still be very comfortable.  I helped some family members make travel arrangements last year at this time, and although we had some difficulty getting last minute dining reservations, they had no problems with crowds inside the parks.

Because of the free dining, many guests will be making dining reservations, so if there is a restaurant your family enjoys, I suggest you call 90 days in advance to secure your reservation.  Other than that, I think you will find the crowd levels very comfortable.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation - whenever you decide to travel!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
