    I will be heading to WDW on January 11th and my MagicBands are now being finalized then to ship. Will I be receiving the MagicBand 2 or the old ones?

    Hi, Sharon! Thanks for coming back to the Disney Parks Moms Pane!

    I am so excited about the MagicBand2 and all of the versatility it offers such as wearing MagicKeepers on a lanyard instead of on a wrist. As for the official word on WHEN they will start to be sent out, the answer is “soon”. I know that other Guests with January arrivals received the original MagicBand, but I have my fingers crossed for you! If you receive the original MagicBand, there are actually more options of designs and character choices at this time! You can purchase these specially designed MagicBands at the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Disney Springs, as well as at your Disney Resort Hotel! I also like to jazz-up my MagicBands with MagicBandits! Don’t worry, these aren’t people who will steal your Disney merchandise, but rather small character decorations that fit into the MagicBands. Each visit, my girls get to choose one new set! I hope this adequately answered your question and we look forward to seeing you again!
