Hi Nicole!
Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
The Deluxe Dining plan is great, but it is also a lot of table credits that you will want to use in order to get your money's worth. April is a busy time at Walt Disney World, so I highly recommend that you have Advanced Dining Reservations for all table service meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Some restaurants don't even allow walk-ups and most restaurants will have very long waits. I think you will feel even more rushed (without reservations) because so much of your time would be spent waiting, and then eating.
We have always used the regular Disney Dining Plan. We usually only make one table-service reservation per day and then snack and have quick-service food the rest of the day. But, that is a personal preference. I do know that some people enjoy having the three table-service meals every day as a way to sit down and relax for a bit. You can probably change your package to the regular dining plan if you prefer, or you if you keep the deluxe, here are some tips:
1. Plan your park days out and make dining reservations either inside the park you will be visiting or nearby. (example: Chef Mickey's is a quick monorail ride to and from the Magic Kingdom, so your Magic Kingdom day would be a good day to have that meal)
2. Make them early. You can make dining reservations 180 days in advance and the popular ones fill up fast. You can make them
online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463).
I hope this information helps!
