HI, we are heading WDW Feb 2 - Feb 8 and this is our first time and I was wondering if there are any tips, tricks, and/or must see's? My husband and my 3 year old will be with me and my son suffers with Autism and acid reflux disease. Thanks

    Hi Tanya!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

With a young child, you will probably want to spend a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom.  Sine you are going for multiple days, I would plan on something along the following:
    • Epcot
    • Magic Kingdom
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom
    • Magic Kingdom

You can return to your favorite park if you have any time left since I'm not sure exactly what time you are arriving and leaving.  I suggest doing Epcot first because it has a reputation of not being the most child friendly of the parks; it is a great place, but half of the park, the World Showcase portion, is probably geared more towards adults with a lot of international shopping and dining.  However, all of that said, my two children absolutely loved the Future World portion of Epcot when they were very young.

Since it is your first time visiting, I highly recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for first time visitors as it is full of information but it is not overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you a good feel of everything there is to do at Walt Disney World.

Our responses are limited in length, but I hope this helps.  Please write back with more questions!
