We are heading to WDW in 16 days YAY!!! I am a runner and sometimes like to get in a few miles while on vacation. We are staying at Caribbean Beach. Is there a place I can run, particularly outside?

Hi Kristie! Many guests come on vacation hoping not to disrupt their normal exercise pattern. I must advise that running on the roads of Walt Disney World can be very dangerous due to the high traffic those roads see at all hours of the day and night. The Caribbean Beach Resort is a large resort with internal roads and parking lots wrapped around in a circle of buildings. You can certainly get in some running in these areas with care taken for cars and buses. However, I like to suggest guests take a trip over to the Fort Wilderness resort and campground where you can find a nice back woods type trail that connects both Fort Wilderness with the Wilderness Lodge. It is also easier to run through the many loops at Fort Wilderness to add to the length of your running trail then to battle the roads on property.

Another possibility is to get to the resorts over at the Boardwalk which isn't too far from the Caribbean Beach. You can run around the lake and then run to the Hollywood Studios. From the Yacht and Beach resorts this pathway is about a mile long so you can gauge about how far you would want to exercise from that. Please stay safe and stay away from the traffic. There are so many guests with cars in this area and they are not familiar where they are going making it a dangerous situation for everyone. Extra caution is always suggested!
