Heading to the water parks this September, and wondered if we should bring some sand toys? When we stayed at the HHI resort in 2009, the kid's food was served in you buckets (with shovels). Do the water parks do that? It would be great to not pack those!

    Hi Keith,

My family and I love a day at the Disney Water Parks!  Whether it's at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach, you're sure to have a great time relaxing and playing in the refreshing water.

I spoke with a very helpful cast member at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon.  He informed me that there are sand toys for purchase in the merchandise locations there.  There is also a station called the "iGreeter" station right before you walk into the main merchandise location.  This is where lost children are taken; however, any children are welcome to play with the toys there, and there are sand toys.  These sand toys cannot be removed from the iGreeter station.  Kids meals at Typhoon Lagoon are served in buckets with shovels as you experienced at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort.

Since Disney's Blizzard Beach is currently closed, I was unable to speak with anyone there; however, it does appear that kids meals at Blizzard Beach are also served in sand buckets, and that they would have sand toys for purchase at their merchandise locations.

I hope that this information helps, Keith!  Have a great time at the water parks.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
