Juni,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party can be a very special experience if it fits within your family's budget and schedule. My family is coming in November, and while we would love to go to the Christmas party, it is just not in the cards for us either.
My advice, and our family's plan, is to visit the
Magic Kingdom on a date when they are not hosting the party. While there is plenty to see and do elsewhere at Walt Disney World at night, like at the resorts, at
Disney Springs, and at
Disney's BoardWalk, we want to enjoy a full day, into the evening, at the Magic Kingdom. So rather than end our day at the park around 6 pm, we want to see it at night, in all its electrified glory. Then, on dates when the party is being hosted, we enjoy visiting other parks. My daughters are especially interested in visiting the bio-luminescent glow of Pandora at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park this year!
BONUS TIPIf you get the chance, visit some of the resorts, including those on the monorail route, to see their holiday decorations. The gingerbread house that they will build in
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is an impressive sight to behold!
