    We’re heading to Vero Beach for the very first time! Is the beach currently open after being closed for sand replenishment? What fun activities are currently available to do with our kiddos (ages 1-5)? Thank you for your help!

    Hi Jennifer!

    As a fellow Buckeye and Disney Vacation Club Member, I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney.  In just a few days you'll be escaping this long Ohio winter to relax on the beach in the Florida sunshine –– I bet you're counting the minutes as we speak!  Disney's Vero Beach Resort is one of the few Disney Vacation Club properties I've never visited, so I'm always excited to hear from someone who has a visit coming up.  I'm sure you and your family are in for an amazing new adventure!

    Since I'm light on firsthand knowledge, I reached out to chat with Athena, a Member Services Cast Member, for more details about what you can expect during your Vero Beach visit.  I'm happy to report that there are currently no beach refurbishments going on at the Resort, so the beach should be open with full Guest access, but I did learn that the Tiger Lilly Wet Play area is closed for refurbishment through the end of March 2022.  Here's the good news, though –– the Vero Beach Feature Pool and the Pirate Plunge Pool Slide are both up and running, meaning you and your family will have lots of options for splashing around during your stay.

    I also learned that there are plenty of activities for kids of all ages to enjoy while visiting Disney's Very Beach Resort. Like many of the DVC Resorts at Walt Disney World, Vero Beach has a Community Hall with games and crafts, as well as DVD rentals for your room.  I think the DVC Community Halls are a hidden gem and they're one of my kids' favorite Resort activities at Walt Disney World –– I definitely recommend making time for your crew to explore everything they have to offer. You'll also find equipment rentals for outdoor activities like biking, miniature golf, and bocce ball at Eb & Flo's Rentals, as well as Movies Under the Stars on the Croquet Lawn and various games and nature activities throughout the day.  Be sure to check with the Front Desk once you arrive for the full schedule of activities that are available during your visit.
