we heading thnxgvn week w BIG group(12). how can we stay together and keep everyones interest ages range from 4-70 all newbies. have 6 days but after 1st visit to each park willing to let seperate

Hi John! This is a challenge when traveling with a large group and wide range of ages. We did this for many years with my family as we congregated at Disney for a yearly reunion.

I found that with the family group the more preparation you did ahead of time the easier the trip went. Send out a short survey to each who can answer and have them rank their top four or five attractions at each park.  When you get the results you can then determine what attractions the majority of the group wishes to do and do those together on your first day and first visit. They can find a listing of attractions at the Disney website that includes a short description. Obviously there are some with height restrictions so be aware of those.

Always pick a lunch and or dinner rendezvous spot each day.  We liked to have at least one meal as table service as this was a great way to share in everyone's experiences.  It is doubtful you will be seated at one table so I always had names in a hat to draw for what table they would be at. This was a great way to mix it up among family and friends.

Once you are comfortable letting the older ones go off on their own then the meeting spots for meals are even more important.  Make sure you impress on everyone how important it is to be on time especially if you have made advanced reservations.  Have someone in the group get all the park parade and fireworks times so the group will be aware of those special events for each park. Pick a spot to meet (early for some things) and enjoy together.

Understand Fast Passes and know that you can gather all the park tickets from your group and have one or two go ahead to get a Fast Pass for all to attractions.

And last.....just relax and enjoy the magic and don't feel like you HAVE to do it all on this vacation. Let each go their own pace and if some want to be back at the resort it will still be fun!!!! Have fun!
