Hi! We are heading to Port of New Orleans Riverside in March. I see there is in room child care, but are the kids able to play outside the room with the sitter or is there a place they can go other than the room? I have 2 boys 7 & 4

    Hi Susan,

Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside is such a beautiful resort. I had the chance to walk the grounds, tour the resort and rooms, and stroll the Sassagoula River last month, and you are going to enjoy your stay!

I spoke to the team at Kid's Nite Out, and I’m happy to share that the in-room babysitting caretakers can take your children out of the room to enjoy any of the resort recreation and activities, including Movies Under the Stars, the Playground, and the Medicine Show Arcade. The one restriction to keep in mind is that the sitter would not be able to take the children to any water-related activities like swimming pools or bathing.  The sitter providing in-room babysitting must also remain on the resort property at all times.

You can contact Kid's Nite Out at (407) 828-0920.

And since you'll be in the area, do yourself a favor and pick up some Beignets at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. Yum!

Enjoy your stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
