Heading to Orlando in 18 days, staying at French Quarter! We have family that lives in Florida coming to visit for a day - can they swim in the hotel pool with us? And can they take advantage of the transportation service to Downtown Disney?

    Hi Ann:

Disney Resort pools are reserved for Guests staying at the Resort.  Others are welcome to visit the Resort to shop and eat, but not to use the pools.  I've seen this rule enforced on a number of occasions, particularly at Resorts with popular pools.

Disney provides various methods of complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World to its Resort guests. While I've never seen anyone asked for proof of Resort stay before being allowed to board internal Disney transportation, it can always happen.  However, it's likely that your guests won't have a problem using Disney transportation.  If they are asked, I would be upfront with the bus driver or boat operator about their guest status. In the worst case scenario, there are also taxis that operate on Walt Disney World property that you can use to get where you want to go. But again, it's almost certain that you and your guests can hop on Disney transportation without issue.

    Enjoy your vacation.
