Hi Ellen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting that your first visit to Magic Kingdom Park is less than a month away! I am sure you will have an absolutely magical time! I am glad that you were able to secure Advanced Dining Reservations at both Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and 1900 Park Fare! These two dining locations are a must do on my daughter's list every time we visit Walt Disney World Resort, and I would have to say that although both locations are Princess Themed, they are very different.
Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at
1900 Park Fare is hosted by Cinderella and Prince Charming. This dining experience is great because the Step-Sisters and Lady Tremaine attend, and are up to their usual no good antics. They are too funny! This is also the only dining location where a Prince makes an appearance. This dining experience is buffet style and features international selections as well as some kid friendly choices.
On the other hand, Princess Storybook Dining at
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is set inside a medieval castle where several Disney Princess make appearances. This dining experience includes a complimentary photo imaging package. Here you will enjoy an all you care to eat buffet style appetizer as well as an a la carte entree with a Norwegian influence.
I wouldn't worry about your dining reservations being too similar Ellen. There are many other dining options available, however if you enjoy dining with Disney Royalty, you have made the right choices.
Please let me know if you have any last minute questions as your vacation approaches. I would be happy to help!
Stephanie
