Welcome to planDisney, Shannon!
Oh, my! Your very first trip to
Walt Disney World and a visit to
Be Our Guest Restaurant? That is absolutely magical!
As a fan of
Beauty and the Beast, dining in Beast's Castle is going to be a core memory for you, for sure. There's nothing quite like walking into The Grand Ballroom as you prepare to be treated like royalty with a fabulous meal.
I have a rather picky prince in my family--my husband! So, I understand that there may be some items you just would not enjoy on any particular menu. When this has happened to us at a Walt Disney World restaurant, he simply talks to the server about modifying dishes. On the rare occasion that this can't be done, he looks at the kids' menu to see if there is "something there" more to his liking. If so, Cast Members can often prepare a more adult-sized serving of something from that menu. Scour the menu, too, in order to swap out sides from one dish to see if that can be paired to your liking.
Because of your mushroom allergy, be sure to inform the Cast Member checking you in--and your server as well--of that allergy. Once you tell them that you are vegetarian, too, you'll be guided through the menu to ensure that your choices are safe, vegetarian, and delicious.
Although you will be charged the adult price, you'll be impressed by how creative the chefs can be at crafting a culinary cabaret just for you. And of course, you must try The Grey Stuff--it really is delicious!
Be sure to peek into The West Wing, even though Beast may have told Belle that's forbidden. It's a must-see! At some point during your meal, you may just catch a glimpse of the master of the castle himself, too.
Shannon, in addition to your unforgettable experience in Beast's Castle, stop by
Enchanted Tales with Belle for an immersive experience every fan is sure to love. If you have room left after your meal, visit
Gaston's Tavern and sample The Grey Stuff Cupcake, among other treats, and the very refreshing LeFou's Brew. Of course, do not miss browsing at
Bonjour! Village Gifts where you'll find the most unique items to bring home--many of which are themed after your favorite film.
If you have the chance to step out of Magic Kingdom at some point and take the
Walt Disney World Monorail over to
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, head to
Enchanted Rose Lounge. As a
Beauty and the Beast fan, you will be tickled to find so many nods to some of your very favorite enchanted characters.
