We are heading to Hollywood Studios and have a reservation for breakfast at 8:05 at Dine at Vine. Will we be done in time for rope drop? Sometimes these character breakfasts can take a long time. Wondering if we should cancel the reservation?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Patty! Rope drop is my favorite way to get a jumpstart on my day at Walt Disney World Resort and kick off the magic extra early. I love being one of the first guests in the Theme Park so I can head straight to my favorite attraction right away!

When you're at Walt Disney World Resort this week, Disney's Hollywood Studios will be opening at 7 a.m., which means that your 8:05 a.m. breakfast reservation at Hollywood & Vine is scheduled for about an hour after rope drop so keep that in mind when you're finalizing your plans in the next few days. You should have time to squeeze in a quick ride on something like Toy Story Mania! or The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror but I wouldn't recommend heading all the way back to Slinky Dog Dash or Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run because the waits for those attractions can still be close to an hour first thing in the morning, and you don't want to miss your breakfast reservation! Just as you said, Character Dining can be a pretty leisurely experience sometimes so I like to leave myself about 90 minutes to make sure I get a chance to enjoy my meal and get all the pictures I want.

Here's another tip that's going to be especially useful for you this week: if you want to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the brand new attraction in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, you'll want to be inside of Disney's Hollywood Studios by the time it opens at 7 a.m. You need to use your admission to enter the Theme Park in order to join a boarding group in the My Disney Experience app, and the boarding groups have been going pretty quickly recently so getting there early is the best way to maximize your chance of success!

    Have a magical day, Patty!
