Hi, we are heading out to Florida soon and was hoping to visit a Typhoon Lagoon on our first park day, to help relax after the journey and jet lag. Will there be an issue accessing the park with new tickets rather than going to a standard park first?

    Hello Al!

Welcome to planDisney! A refreshing swim in a pool after a long day of travel sounds splendid. Imagine floating on an inner tube on Castaway Creek while contemplating your next snack. Just brilliant!

As you are a friend from Great Britain I am assuming that you have the Magic Ticket. Purchasing the 14-Day Magic Ticket or 7-Day Magic Ticket includes access to all four Theme Parks and whichever open water park. Right now, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is open and Disney's Blizzard Beach water park is closed for refurbishment. A theme park reservation is not required and the 2 PM Park Hopper rule does not apply when visiting a water park so whenever you are ready head over for a good splash! You do not need to visit one of the four main Theme Parks first as the Magic Ticket allows for flexibility and ease for it to be used in various combinations over a 15-day window. Life can truly be "de bubbles" for you!

This summer Walt Disney World Resort has now been providing complimentary bus transportation directly to Typhoon Lagoon from select resorts. This service is expected to end in early September so if you coming before then and staying at certain Resorts then this will be perfect for you. They are:

    -Disney's All-Star Music Resort
    -Disney's All-Star Movies Resort
    -Disney's All-Star Sports Resort
    -Disney's Art of Animation Resort
    -Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
    -Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
    -Disney's Pop Century Resort

If you are staying at one of the other Disney Resorts then you should take a bus to Disney Springs and then transfer from there to a bus leading to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.

I hope this helps and you have a magical time. We are as always here to help!

    Happy Planning!
