We are heading to DW 4/1 we are thinking 2 days of MK and then half day AK/MK and half day MK/DHS. Do you all think half days will be enough at the AK&DHS? Kids LOVE MK but are now 1,3,5,7 and we think it would be fun to branch out a bit.

    Hi Sonnet!
I think planning for at least 2 full days in the Magic Kingdom is a great start! From there, since you feel that the kids are ready for a bit more adventure, I would suggest starting the 3rd and 4th days at Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios, respectively, and then see how it goes. They may surprise you and really love being at these other parks, or you will get  a quick read from them that it's time to head back to the comforts of the Magic Kingdom. Either way, you will be spending quality time together at Walt Disney World!!
My family and I never stay at Animal Kingdom for more than a half day at a time anyway, but we spend at least one full day at the Studios on each trip (usually more). It is my #2 park for kids right after Magic Kingdom.
I hope this helps, and I wish you and your family a Magical vacation!! :)
