Heading to DW in Oct with our 6 kids, 1 to 16 & we want to stay together at an affordable cost. I hear connecting rooms can never be guaranteed so we are thinking of a 2 BR Villa at Old KW. Are there long transportation waits there?

Hi Kristy! You've got us outnumbered by two kids but I can appreciate the need for affordable vacation costs, which is why there's no better value than the Disney deluxe villa resorts.
Your family of 8 will fit comfortably in a 2-bedroom deluxe villa at Disney's Old Key West Resort. With a laid back and charismatic charm Disney's Old Key West Resort is a wonderful place to stay with fantastic feature pools.
You'll love all the standard home away from home amenities of your deluxe villa...private bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, a large living area, a washer/dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen that you can stock with your own groceries from home! To really save money and stretch our vacation dollars we typically eat one meal out either lunch or dinner and I cook everything else in our villa. Since we drive to Walt Disney World Resort I can pack everything I need with us. If you're flying you can put a lot of your non-perishable groceries in checked luggage or ship a box directly to the resort ahead of your arrival.

There isn't a formal bus schedule for Disney's Old Key West Resort, but you'll find buses run frequently to Downtown Disney and the theme parks roughly every 20 minutes. There are slight variations during high peak times, but you can always alternate your travel route with the water taxi to Downtown Disney and then catch a bus from there to wherever you want to go. Overall I think the Disney transportation is super and a great way to kick back and relax while someone else does the driving!

Disney has special offers with great savings sometimes up to 30% off on resort stays throughout the year. Depending on your dates of travel you can really save on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

I hope I've given you some helpful options to consider and I wish you a magical and memorable family vacation!
