    We are heading down the week of Thanksgiving this year, staying at the Beach Club. Very excited to be celebrating my 50th birthday with my family there. Question is does Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party happen during the week of Thanksgiving?

    Hi Michael!

    Many families choose the Thanksgiving week as their family vacation time. It has always been a favorite time for my own family and we will once again congregate at Disney for a reunion.

    Because this is an ideal time the parks can become more crowded then during other weeks. Disney will extend park hours allowing guests to spread out their visits and find times when lines are not so crazy. They will not offer Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party during this week because of the crowds. If you can extend your trip by one day it will begin again on Sunday, November 26 and continue on various days until December 22.

    Congratulations on your special birthday and I am sure people will be thinking it is your 29th and not 50th! The holiday Illuminations will start on Friday, November 24 and it is worth stopping by Epcot to see this great show. This would be a fun way to celebrate your big occasion.
