We are heading down to Disney World in the next few weeks Dec. 17-22...how crowded are the parks at this time? I know it is near Christmas, how can we make our first experience with our 18 mth old magical? Any suggestions?

Yo, Skyler! Surprisingly, the parks won't be too crowded until the last day of your trip. Even so, you can still rock your world with a little pre-planning / park touring strategy. The best way to see the most attractions is to show up to the parks before they open. Hit the most popular attractions first. Since you have a little biscuit, for example, that means heading straight for Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom as soon as the rope drops. Ride Dumbo, Peter Pan's Flight and Winnie the Pooh first. Midday breaks are helpful for getting a nap in to recharge. Plus, midday is when the parks are the most crowded. If you haven't done so already, make some dining reservations. When our boys were young (and even to this day,) we liked character dining experiences a lot, especially Donald's Safari Breakfast at Animal Kingdom. Enjoy every second and capture every moment - it's gunna be priceless!
