hello moms, heading down to Disney Jan.14th..2 days at Kadani Villlage, then off to a 7 night cruise aboard DCL...traveling with a 4 1/2 year old who usually naps daily...I'm hesistant on bringing an umbrella stroller...any input?? thank you

While you may get differing opinions on whether to bring a stroller, I would definitely recommend it.

When my son was in a stroller, I found the most tiring time of the day was when we were traipsing back to our hotel after a long day. It was so nice to have our own umbrella stroller for the wait at the bus stop and the often long walk back to our room.

You'll also find that the stroller can be handy at the airport while waiting for a flight. Gate check it so it's ready for you upon arrival in Orlando.

Returning to your resort for a mid-day break including a nap is a wonderful idea. We find this keeps our family refreshed and was especially needed when our child was younger. He's now almost 10.

Strollers are available for rent but the increasing cost can take a large bite out of your budget. In addition, these strollers have to be returned prior to exiting one of the theme parks. I think you'll find that a stroller to use to and from Kidani Village at the Animal Kingdom Lodge will be very handy and worth the effort to bring it to Orlando.

I would recommend bringing a stroller aboard the Disney ship as well. While there are strollers that can be rented, they are much larger than an umbrella stroller and thus difficult to store.

Enjoy your magical vacation on land and at sea!
