We are heading to DLR next week,I know the Disneyland RR will be closed, will they not be doing the RR Tour? I was hoping to go on the tour with my husband who loves everything Disney and RR especially for his birthday. It’s not on the website anymore.

Welcome back to planDisney, Michelle. We are so glad that you came back to visit us with this question. Your visit to the Disneyland Resort is just around the corner, so let's make sure you're ready to go.

I feel your pain, Michelle. I was looking forward to booking the Disneyland Railroad Guided Tour for an upcoming visit and found no times available when I tried to book 60 days in advance. It looks like the information and event page has since been removed from the site. The Disneyland Railroad is currently closed with no announced return date at this time. I'm so sorry that you won't be able to experience this during your visit.

I do, however, have another option for you to consider. Have you thought about booking Walt's Main Street Story Tour? This is a wonderful tour for those who love everything Disney. It's been a while since I've taken this tour, but I loved every bit of history and all of the enchanting stories I heard along the way. The best part was that we got to visit Walt's apartment above the Fire Station in Town Square. It was amazing to see and be in the same space that Walt and his family enjoyed. I just checked the calendar and saw that there is availability for tours in the morning and afternoon (subject to change) on the day of your visit.

You will also be visiting during the spookiest time of the year, Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. There will be no shortage of spooktacular things to do during your visit. I hear the giant Mickey pumpkin is already settled in Town Square and there's a monster-sized list of seasonal eats and treats to sink your teeth into (this is what I'm most looking forward to). Be sure to stop into the Emporium and ask for a complimentary "Happy Birthday!" button for your husband. It's always fun to have Cast Members (and sometimes other Guests) wish you a happy birthday.

Michelle, I'm so sorry that this threw an unexpected wrinkle in your plans, however, I hope that the information I provided was still helpful. I know you and your husband will still have an absolutely magical time celebrating at the Happiest Place on Earth!
