Hello there, Palmira!
Welcome to planDisney, it's great to meet you! The Disneyland Resort has some great programs and resources to make sure guests of all abilities have a great time at the parks. I would be happy to help you make sure you've got everything you need for a wonderful visit!
The
Disability Access Service (DAS) provides guests with disabilities an alternative way to enjoy attractions if they are unable to wait in a traditional queue. I highly recommend that you sign up for
DAS Advance so that you are ready to go when you get to the park! Eligible guests can register by video chat with a Cast Member between 2 and 30 days before their visit. There are a few things you should do before your video call:
Currently, your DAS party may include up to 6 people, which includes the guest who qualifies for the DAS pass. To be included in your group, your brother-in-law and his wife do need to have their tickets purchased, have valid park reservations, and have their tickets linked to your account before you register for DAS Advance. There can be a bit of a wait for your video chat, so make sure you have plenty of time and that the guest who qualifies for DAS can be with you for the chat.
Before you register for DAS Advance it's a good idea to look at the
attractions and experiences you may be able to choose from when you're making your plans. You will be able to make additional ride selections when you're in the parks, but it's nice to have a few already planned out! There are also some very helpful
guides for guests with different types of disabilities on the Disneyland website.
I think Disneyland Park visits with extended family are so much fun! I spent my childhood enjoying the parks with my aunts, uncles, and cousins, so I hope that your whole group can enjoy the magic of the Disneyland Resort, Palmira!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
