My DH and I are heading to Disneyworld 5/27 to 6/1. We have a package w/ DP at Pop. Can we apply the room only discount to our package? If a better deal comes out after we apply the discount, can we switch to the better deal (free DP or giftcard)?

    Hi Andrea!

My family will be in Disney World at the same time!  As long as you only use one discount or promotion at a time, you may certainly apply the best deal for your particular family.  I will tell you that in my experience, the Free dining promotion is typically the best value at the Value and Moderate resorts.  However, the Room only discount is usually a better value at the Deluxe and Villa resorts.  Of course, this is not always the case, so be sure to have the Cast Member that you speak to compare each of them for you.

The good news is that you CAN apply the Room Only discount to a package.  The Cast Member will have to look up the exact code that is to be applied, but stand your ground.  If you are within 45 days of travel, you might have to pay a fee if your price drops.  Of course, with the money that you save, it is usually worth it!

In short, yes, you can go back and switch promotions, as long as you are only using one at a time.  The key is to call and have the Cast member go over the options - they don't automatically offer you the best price.  You must ask!  Have an awesome time at our FAVORITE value resort!!!!
