    Heading to DisneyWorld next week (Sept 23). Just wondering what the crowds are like right now and if the parks are busy due to the free Disney Dining promotion?

    Hi Chandra! We happen to have a Disney mom vacationing down there right now and from her reports the parks are very pleasant to get around and lines are minimal.  Yesterday she was in line for Peter Pan at the Magic Kingdom and the stand-by wait was only 20 minutes! That means it was awesome as that ride can often creep up to a 90 minute wait or more.

    The crowds are not going to be greatly increased due to free dining but more of those traveling at this time will be using table service restaurants making reservations harder to get.  Normally during this time of year you can get walk up times but with Free Dining this will become more difficult and the guests need to be prepared for alternative ideas if they have not planned ahead.
