We're heading to Disneyworld next week, but flying out to visit family in the northeast a few days prior. If our Magicbands don't arrive in time, what can we do about it?

Hi there, Jed! Welcome to planDisney!

Goodness, it sounds like you have a busy couple of weeks coming up! From fun with family to the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort, your vacation is going to be practically perfect in every way!

I'm hoping that you've already gotten a dash of pixie dust on your doorstep since you sent us this question and that your MagicBands have arrived safe and sound. If you're still waiting on that magical delivery, however, I don't want you to spend one minute of your vacation worrying about it. If your MagicBands haven't arrived by the time you leave, just print out your vacation confirmation and bring it along with you. If you plan to take Disney's Magical Express from the airport to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can show your printed reservation to board. Then when you arrive at your Resort hotel, head over to the front desk and explain the situation to a Cast Member. They'll give you Admission Cards you can use to open your room door and enter the theme parks.

Jed, your smartphone can also perform many of those functions with the My Disney Experience mobile app and Disney MagicMobile service! You can add your linked tickets to your phone's electronic wallet by hopping into your app and pressing the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner of your screen. On the next page, click on "Disney MagicMobile" and follow the prompts to create a pass and add it to your wallet. At the parks, hold your phone to the touchpoint (or swipe and scan if you have multiple Guests' passes on your phone), and you're in!

And when you get home and your MagicBands are waiting for you, just save them for your next trip! You can use any MagicBands that are linked to your My Disney Experience account interchangeably. So there's one less thing to worry about next time!

I hope this helps set your mind at ease as you get ready for your grand vacation, Jed. Have an amazing time, and do come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
