We are heading to Disneyland resort in three weeks, staying at Pixar Place for a week. I am wondering if there is an airport shuttle to the resort from LAX?

    Hi there, Charissa!

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for asking us your question about getting to the Disneyland Resort. Your magical vacation is just around the corner, so I’m sure you’re getting excited for the adventures ahead! A stay at Pixar Place Hotel sounds wonderful. The Pixar-themed furnishings and colorful artwork are sure to immerse you in the magic of Pixar’s characters and stories!

The Disneyland Resort Hotels don’t provide or arrange transportation for Guests from the local airports. However, travelers have plenty of options to choose from! There are several limousine, taxi, and shared-ride shuttle companies available that can take you directly to the resort once you land at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), in addition to public bus and train routes that service the area. Karmel Shuttle operates a fleet of vehicles that provide service to the Disneyland Resort area and can be scheduled in advance. There are also designated pickup areas for app-based rideshare companies like Lyft.

Once you arrive, one of the best perks of staying at Pixar Place Hotel is that you can enjoy easy access to the Downtown Disney District and theme park entrances on foot, including entry to Disney California Adventure Park via a special entrance located right across the street from the hotel! To access it, exit Pixar Place Hotel and cross the street at Disneyland Drive toward the main entrance of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Just before the pedestrian access gate that leads to the hotel, turn immediately to the right where you’ll see another gate. Scan your hotel key to enter and then follow the path to the security checkpoint and entry turnstile directly into the theme park.

I hope this helps you make your travel arrangements, Charissa. Do you have any other questions as you put the finishing touches on your trip to The Happiest Place on Earth? Please feel free to write back and ask!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
