We are heading to Disneyland and I'm going to be bringing a purse, but I'm not sure how big/small of one I should bring as I'll need to have it with me on rides as it will have my camera in it. How big is too big??

    Hi Heather,
Thanks for asking the Disney Parks Moms Panel about something I know plenty about-- carrying different sized bags when I visit the Happiest Place on Earth.
Depending on the trip I'm planning, I tend to switch out my purse.
When I'm traveling with my boys, I carry an extra large diaper-type bag that holds everything from extra clothes and snacks to diapers, bottles and my camera. During these types of outings, I generally leave my bag in the bottom stroller compartment while we enjoy the attractions.
If I'm on a date night with my husband, I like to carry a large shoulder tote for my cosmetics bag, camera, wallet and any souvenirs I purchase along the way.
If I'm hanging out with my girlfriends, we like to make the most of our time at the Parks and I like to avoid carrying too many things so I usually wear a carrier bag, which hangs over the shoulder and rests on the hip.
When I go to the Parks by myself for a necessary escape from the pressures of work, I take a backpack to carry a light jacket, camera, wallet and other essentials.
I share all these different scenarios because regardless of the size of the bag, I've learned you can bring your bag on most rides without a problem.
Most attractions have a spacious storage compartment, sort of like an elastic storage bin large enough to fit a stuffed backpack.
On the other hand, if you don't want to carry your large bag around, you can use a locker rental to store it and keep your hands focused on taking pictures of your Magical trip.
I hope you find this information to be helpful.
