We are heading to Disney with a 5 yr old girl and 9 yr old boy. What character dining would you recommend so that both have a good time?

    Hi Tina,

This is one of the great challenges of planning a vacation, finding things that appeal to various ages and genders!  This is why Walt Disney World is the perfect family vacation destination, they keep "family" in mind and have plenty of things to offer everyone!

Here are my suggestions for great dining, in a family fun environment:
    • Chef Mickey's - One of the most popular character dining experiences!  This restaurant is located inside the Contemporary Resort.  It's a napkin twirling, dancing in your seat kind of fun!
    • Ohana - Great for all ages, this is a tropical themed restaurant in the Polynesian Resort.  It features the characters from Lilo and Stitch
    • The Garden Grill - Boasts a unique dining room that rotates throughout your meal.  Located in Epcot, this experience features Chip and Dale.
    • Whispering Canyon Cafe' - A root-tootin family style meal!  Although it is not a character meal, this loud and rowdy dining experience will have you laughing.

    Hope this helps!
